From cinema to bingo and a hidden room behind the bookshelf – Munich’s only dance bar convinces with a variety of programs.

Since August 2018 we say “Welcome to the claws of the octopus”. The Krake at the Gärtnerplatz impresses with its unique charm, exceptional interior, good music and excellent drinks. Started as a pop-up project for six months, the Krake has moulted into an integral part of Munich’s gastronomy and has come to stay.

As soon as you enter the bar, you realize that you are not dealing with just any place here. The charm and the interior are special – not normal, but one hundred percent Krake. During the week it is more comfortable, invites you to linger and enjoy really good drinks. As soon as the weekend is approaching and very good DJ’s are heating up the people, the mood is boiling and you get the feeling: the octopus has been released!

And because it’s so special, a hidden room hides behind a bookshelf, where there is more space for celebrating on weekends. There is also the possibility to rent the hidden room for special events.
