The perfect summer drink: Elderflower Tonic meets Lillet

The Henry is the signature drink by Thomas Henry — mixed with the gently bitter Elderflower Tonic and the French wine aperitif Lillet Blanc. First of all, you’ve got the addition of elderflower, which lends the classic Tonic Water a floral and particularly light note. This composition goes perfectly in summer cocktails.

Thanks to this unique aromatic twist, The Henry enters new dimensions of culinary delights. The wine aperitif boasts contemporary delights thanks to its tangy elegance and refines the refreshing character of this drink creation. The flowery radiance of the elderberry blossom is particularly good with fresh mint. A slight change thats delightful enjoyed year round.

A bloom with a long tradition

Even the ancient Greeks and Romans already knew: good spirits live in elderberries. The intense sweet scent still transports its spirit into the glass today and the lively colour does the rest. The elderflower is a well known ingredient in fine cocktails. It is extremely popular as a syrup when it comes to enchanting cocktails with floral notes and ensuring they’re unique.

However, what the world has never seen before is a tonic water made with elderflower. Jochen Hirschfeld is the innovator behind The Henry. The Munich mixologist and entrepreneur is known for his experiments in the glass. In 2012 he created the cocktail at the Thomas Henry Elderflower Tonic Competition — and won said competition! Since then, his signature drink has found more and more friends  and lovers — it looks back on a tradition which is almost as long as the decisive flower itself. His stroke of genius was including Lillet Blanc into the cocktail, the lovely taste of elderflower is still grateful for this decision.
